Koramangala, Bangalore., is one of the well-known and prime locales in the southern part of the city. It is popular for its greenery and vicinity to the lake Agara. The locale comprises 8 blocks, and each block is divided into two sub-blocks. Blocks 1 to 4 are parted from blocks 5 to 8 by the Inner Ring Road that connects with Domlur and Indiranagar.

Its name is derived from the Kannada words Kora, which means bundle, and Mangala, which means promising. It refers to the area's ancient trade routes. In the 1960’s it is developed as a housing colony for government employees. It is initially a rural area with agricultural land and villages around. It is in southeast Bangalore, adjacent to Adugodi, BTM Layout, and Sarjapur Road. The Outer Ring Road, Hosur Road, and Inner Ring Road bound it.

Block 5 of Koramangala is famous for its bustling commercial hub, and it features many eateries and cafes. It also includes many boutique shops. Koramangala distance from the Airport is about 43 km and it takes about 1.30 hours to reach it. The City Railway Station is 12 km away, and it takes 60 minutes to reach. Metro Station on CMH Road is the closest Metro point to Koramangala. With the completion of phase 2, the Silkboard and one around the Dairy Circle will enhance the transit network around here.
