Bannerghatta National Park is located near Bengaluru, and it was founded in 1970. It is over an area of 260.51 sq km, and it was declared a national park in 1974. The park features a hilly structure with granite sheets covering humid valleys of deciduous forest and scrubland in high areas.

  • Various birds.

The park is famous for its tiger and lion safaris.

The timings of the park are from 9.30 AM to 5 PM on all days except Tuesday as on Tuesdays the park will be closed.

  • It is the first biological park to have an enclosed forested elephant sanctuary, which is 122 acres in size. It is fenced and it provides a safe place for elephants to roam in the park.

  • The park boasts a Lion and Tiger Safari with a setup of their natural habitat.
  • It also has a butterfly park, a zoo, a snake park, and a camp for kids.
